The Waipara Valley is one of New Zealand’s most exciting up and coming wine & food regions. The Teviotdale range protect the area from the Easterlies and provide a lovely warm growing climate for grapevines, olives, sheep, truffles and even figs. The proximity to the ocean delivers kaimoana such as crayfish, crabs, clams and blue cod. Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are just some of the wines receiving international recognition for their quality. The limestone hills that form the west of the Valley are framed by the Southern Alps and have significant archaeological history, interest and beauty. Only 50 minutes north of Christchurch, but it’s like it’s a world away.

For more information go to the Waipara Valley page.
