Polygon’s Square One EX9 Review

The Polygon’s Square One EX9 is a unique trail bike which does not confirm to the stock standard looking bikes. It has a suspension that is unique in appearance and is described as being more efficient with regard to pedaling. Polygon has described the bike as departing from the old way of classifying bikes and entering a new paradigm where travel no longer determines discipline.

The top of the range model of the bike is the EX9 which has 27.5″ wheels and a mostly carbon fiber frame. This bike retails for $8,499 USD (Approximately $10,000 AUD).

As mentioned, the frame is mostly carbon fibre and it has a boxy looking shape. The bike has a set of ISCG tabs around the bottom bracket which lets you use full guide or no guide mode.

The EX9 has suspension which is typical of heavier bikes. It has a 180mm of rear wheel travel and a generous suspension. The bike has a 66 degree head which makes riding fast a relatively easy task. The suspension also allows for the bike to be extremely stable and with good traction.
