The Guru Praemio bicycle review

The Guru Praemio bicycle is around 8 years old and is considered an all rounder with the focus being on a recreational type ride. The Praemio is a bike that’s built to suit a long distance road comfortably. The bike can be customised to suit your requirements and combines titanium, steel and carbon to produce a quality product.

Although not cheap at over $4000, the bike can be customised to suit your body and can even have seven different dropouts for different wheel and braking systems. Further customising options include your own choice of painting scheme, finish and fender mounts.

The Praemio R features a Dynamic Wishbone Seatstays with a double S-Bend design. This design is intended to reduce the shock from road vibrations and allows for the use of a smaller brake bridge. There is also a Asymmetric Diameter Chainstays which has a 22mm drive-side chainstay and a 27mm non-drive side chainstay. This helps increase rear stiffness by a reported 25%.

The Praemio is designed for racing and has a frame which allows for a low handlebar position. The wheelbase is short and features a stiff fork which makes steering highly responsive.
